Power Supply Features

Hercules III contains a built-in DC/DC power supply that lets it operate with input voltages ranging from 7-40VDC. This saves the cost of a separate power supply module, and also it reduces the size and assembly time of your embedded system. All internal voltages are generated from the input voltage.

A switched 5VDC output for hard drives or other devices is provided on a separate output connector. This output can supply up to 20 watts (4 amps). The switch input is provided on the input connector. If 12VDC is also provided at the input, that voltage is also available on the output connector and can also be controlled by the power switch.
