Message from the President

This is an exciting period of growth for Diamond Systems. Our staff continues to grow, with recent new hires in Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Marketing, and Administration.

An important milestone for us is our planned ISO9001:2008 registration this year. We have just passed our pre-audit and are scheduled to achieve certification in December 2010. We have been working on this project since the start of the year, and we are right on schedule, thanks to the hard work of our Director of Quality, Rajeev Mehta. Achieving ISO9000 registration is one key element of our commitment to improved quality and customer service.

On-time delivery of sales orders has improved this year as well, with a steady rating of better than 90% of all orders shipped on or before the promise date.

We can always do better, so I am continuing to emphasize improvements in quality and customer service. Diamond's long-term goal is to achieve the ranking of best in class supplier in the minds of you our customers.

Diamond Systems is pleased to announce the following exciting new Intel Atom Z530 SBC and Optoisolated Digital I/O module! These products are specifically designed for embedded computing applications, feature a wealth of real-world I/O and are ruggedized for performance in harsh environments.

Aurora: NEW 1.6GHz Atom Z530P PC/104 Single Board Computer

Aurora is a rugged, single board computer (SBC) based on the 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530P CPU and conforming to the compact, PC/104-sized, SUMIT-ISM form-factor. The SBC supports up to 2GB of DDR2 SO-DIMM SDRAM and provides high-resolution LVDS and SDVO graphic interfaces. Additional I/O ports include SATA, USB, serial, digital I/O, and Gigabit Ethernet. Flexible systems expansion is based on industry-standard, stackable PC/104 (ISA) and SUMIT-A (PCIe) modules. A location is also provided for an optional on-board USB flashdisk. Learn more.

Opal-MM-1616 NEW Optoisolated Input and Relay Output PC/104 I/O Module

Opal-MM-1616 is a PC/104 format digital I/O module designed for industrial applications requiring isolation between the computer and the external signals it is monitoring and controlling. The Opal-MM-1616 features 16 optoisolated digital inputs and 16 relay outputs. Each input has an input range of 0-30VDC. Opal-MM-1616 can be configured to generate an interrupt when any input changes state. Either or both banks of 8 inputs can be configured for interrupt operation. ISO 9001-2008 Certification

In our efforts to continue improving our processes, Diamond Systems Corporation completed a successful ISO assessment audit, October 4-5, 2010. Our goal is achieve ISO 9001-2008 certification following the ISO certification audit scheduled on December 6, 2010.

Conduction Cooling: A new paradigm in thermal management for small form factor computers
Many of Diamond's new Embedded-Ready Subsystems and Single Board Computers are being designed with a conduction cooled thermal heatspreader on the underside.  This is an innovative approach to thermal management that interfaces directly to an enclosure or bulkhead and transfers heat from the SBC out to the enclosure, providing greater reliability and simplifying your customers' system design.
