Diamond Systems is an official Microsoft Embedded Partner and we are proud to provide complete Windows CE development environments for our single board computers and systems. These Windows CE Software Development Kits provide a platform for quick development on the Windows CE 6.0 R2 operating system.
Each Windows CE Software Development Kit includes:
A Windows CE 6.0 Software Development Kit CD for the target SBC
A Microsoft Embedded CE 6.0 R2 Evaluation DVD
A 128MB flashdisk with a bootable Windows CE 6.0 image for the target SBC
An Installation Guide with easy-to-follow instructions to get started
Each kit includes a licensed Windows CE 6.0 runtime image (NK.BIN) with internet access and, for our single board computers with on-board data acquisition circuitry, demo programs are also included. The kit allows you to get Windows CE 6.0 up and running quickly on Diamond Systems' SBCs and try out the many features of the products.
The Software Development Kits include a board support package (BSP) for the selected Diamond SBC. You can install this BSP and use it with Microsoft Windows CE 6.0 developer tools to build your own Windows CE operating system images.
The Windows CE Software Development Kit CD contains:
An installable BSP for the selected SBC
All the device drivers for the SBC to be used with the BSP
Step-by-step instructions to use the BSP and the drivers to develop a custom platform for your application
Ethernet boot-loader ( EBOOT.BIN ) for the SBC
The Microsoft Embedded CE 6.0 R2 Evaluation DVD includes an evaluation version of the Windows CE development system with Visual Studio 2005.

Development System Requirements
To use and install the products in this Software Development Kit, the development system needs to meet the following hardware and software requirements:
PC with 933 MHz or faster processor; 2 GHz recommended
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional SP4 or Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2
512 MB of RAM; 1 GB recommended
18 GB of available space required on installation drive
1 GB of available space required on system drive
DVD-ROM Drive
Display monitor that supports 1024 x 768 high color - 16-bit color
Licensing Considerations
Microsoft Windows CE 6.0 may only be used with in accordance with Microsoft's licensing terms.
The Development Kit contains an evaluation version of the Microsoft Windows CE 6.0 operating system. This evaluation version will operate for 180 days. To continue using the development software please go here and license Windows CE. The Development Kit does not include a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) license label.
The use of the evaluation version of Windows CE is subject to your acceptance of the terms of the Microsoft End User Agreement.
The Windows CE operating system provided in these Development Kits has been configured to run on a specific target Diamond SBC. One licensed copy of the operating system image is included on the Windows CE Software Development Kit CD
and may be used on one target Diamond SBC. It may also be used to produce copies of the operating system; however, the user is responsible to ensure that each produced copy is properly licensed. Please contact Microsoft or your Microsoft Dealer for more details.
