Description |
The EPSM-10GX12 is a high bandwidth, high port-count managed Ethernet switch
module in a compact 2.56" x 3.54" (65 x 90mm) size offering up to 64 2.5Gbps copper
ports, 17 10Gbps SFI ports, and 180Gbps total bandwidth. The module is intended to
be used on a carrier board to implement a complete Ethernet switching solution. The
core Ethernet switching technology is almost fully encapsulated on the module; for
many applications, only the "last inch" of magnetics and I/O connectors is required to
complete the circuit, enabling easy development of custom form factor compact, rugged
Ethernet switch solutions.
The small size makes EPSM-10GX12 a perfect choice for use as a building block for creating custom Ethernet switch solutions in a variety of space-demanding applications, such as drones, ground and underwater vehicles, and robots. A typical application
combines the EPSM-10GX12 with a high-performance COM to create a thin, high-
performance embedded computing platform for aviation, military, and other applications
where size and weight are critical factors.
A development kit is available providing a ready-to-use complete switch based onEPSM-10GX12 and including complete schematics for the carrier board along with a design guide.
